Dogs Trust Arctic Challenge

As part of my New Year's resolution for 2008 I promised to do more for charity. Being a dog lover I just had to sponsor a dog, this has led to me going for the 2010 Dogs Trust Arctic Sledding Challenge. This will see me join a member of a 10-strong team who will be given expert training in dog sledding. Starting from Oslo, we'll fly to Alta. From there we leave and travel, using our dogs and sleds over the Beskades Mountain range to Suolovuobma. From there we go to Masi. Then we travel to Nedre Mollisjok passing through reindeer country. We then travel over one of the largest frozen lakes in the Arctic to Jotka. The finally we will travel down to Detsika.

As part of this I need to raise at least £1,000 for Dogs Trust, this does not cover the cost of the trip itself this goes straight to the charity. If you would like to sponsor me in this challenge please contribute via my just giving web page

What on earth has possessed me?

Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and last year they cared for over 16,000 stray and abandoned dogs through their nationwide network of 17 Rehoming Centres.

Dogs Trust is working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life free from the threat of unnecessary destruction. They believe no healthy dog should ever be destroyed and that every dog should have a chance to lead
